Sweet Kaitlyn- Growing like a weed

I would like to try to keep a monthly picture of Kaitlyn like I did with Blake. They grow so fast and I dont want to forget how precious she is.

Blake

I am amazed (most recently) how much my little Blake has grown. Not only is he having a growth spurt right now, but he is just like a sponge. He copies and is actually starting to listen to me. We are having more conversations, and he knows there are consequences if he doesnt do what I ask... so he minds well. Of course I  allow him to make mistakes -but we are bonding more. Tonight we were watching the super bowl and Brad asked him if he wanted to sit with him, and he said "no, mom". I feel like our bond is strengthening. A year ago he would have chosen Brad in a heartbeat.

I have heard his teachers at church tell me how great it is to see him mature since Kaitlyn was born. He really has. He cares for her so much. He gives loves, and is protective of her when we go to the store. When she cries, he says "mom, baby cry" because he knows if she cries, she needs help. He likes share his toys with her, but not let her have hers- ha. He can make her laugh so much more than Brad or myself. Its fun to see their relationship grow.

I am grateful for Blake tender heart. He loves his family and he is such a good boy. He says please thank you, and excuse me. He wants to have mamas attention all the time- and I love it. He makes messes, and plays in the dirt like a boy. He can count to 10, and knows what a b looks like. He loves trains, and dionsarus, and pirates. He loves to play rough with dada and have piggy back rides from mama. Mama and dada love you little man.

I am just so grateful I get the chance to stay home with my kids. I would never be able to experience the closeness I have with my kids if it wernt for Brad. I am so grateful for his hard work.

Christmas 2015

Christmas this year was fun. We have a tradition that we would go to grandpa Meyers house on the weekend before Christmas. We still carry on this tradition and still meet at now Janets house. I am grateful that we still continue to do this. We dont get together enough and I miss hanging out and bonding with my dads family.

Christmas Eve we went to Rockland. There was just a few of us out there. Mom, dad, Tina, Greg, and us. It was really enjoyable and we had such a fun time spreading out all of Blakes toys to play. We played with the gifts Santa brought Blake for the first 15 min or so.

I was trying to feel the Christmas spirit, but have struggled with it for the last few years. I am grateful for my family and all our blessings. I love my husband and kids with all my heart. I am amazed how easy the transition has been for our family for Kaitlyn to come, and I feel like she has and was always meant to be in my family. My baby girl. I couldn't be more grateful that Blake loves her and is very gentle with her.  I have been reflecting on the birth of Jesus and imaging what it would have been like for Mary. The joy, love, fear, and all the other feelings that come along with having a baby. I will be forever grateful for her sacrifice and faith to bare, deliver, and nurture baby Jesus. I cannot wait to meet such a selfless person. Merry Christmas everyone!!
